canadian numbers

so i've kept a few canadians per box of pennies i've done.

so far
180 canadian cents from 2011 - 1965

20 commerative cents 1967

116 canadian cents from 1964 - 1953

and about 20 or so king george VI


i probably average 50 per box... not fair

You should be happy about this - they are copper and you can melt them down since you are in the USA!!! Personally, I think Canadian cents are beautiful - much more striking of a design than the US memorial cent! I absolutely love BU Canadian copper cents and keep them all!!!

I would have to say I find close to three rolls of american cents each time I get a box of pennies. Those george VI cents are a great find and are the canadian equivalent of the american wheat cents.

I like the Canadian cents because the pre - '97's are 98% copper which are most of the ones I find - although I don't find too many. I probably average about 5 - 10 copper Canadians per box.

I average 5-8 canadian pennies per box and i am 10 hours from the border.
