I bought some Canadian dimes and quarters. The quarters are 50% 1968 and I think 80% pre 1968. The dimes are all pre 1966, I think they are 80%. Is this correct? and what are they worth.
Thanks cooper

Pre 1920 dimes and quarters are sterling. 1920-1967 are 80%. 1967-1968 dimes and quarters are 50%. In 1967 both the 80% and 50% silver compositions were minted and in 1968 the 50% silver composition was used but then in the middle of the year the mint switched over to pure nickel so the difference can be distinguished by using a magnet as silver is not magnetic. As for the current worth check the Canadian section of coinflation.com You may also want to check for key dates. Would you be able to provide a list of all the dates?

About the same as a war nickel. Maybe a bit more. I've found 6 of the 80%er searching dime boxes..

That Canadain guy the dates are
on dollars 1966 and 1867-1967 with a duck
on quarters 1968 1943 1945 1940 and what might be 1933
on dimes 1966,1965,1963,1961,1960,1959,1956,1953,1949,1947,1944and 193?
