I went back to the 1904 church to see if I could squeak out a couple more signals after work. My last visit the property gave up a Barber quarter and a barber dime along with a foreign copper.
Tonight began with more copper pennies. After a lap around the building I came to an area that seemed to hold deep coins. I got a sweet faint sounding high tone and I flicked my go pro on....just had a hunch it was gonna be deep silver! After a few shovels removed out pops a small round silver! I saw one dime and was hoping seated but it ends up being a 1903 Barber dime.
A few feet away I get another faint but a little more jumpy on the numbers signal. This ended up being a deep 1888 IHP.
The last good find of the evening was in an area I had not hit too much. I got a very smooth and soft high tone and the Id didn't budge. About 2" down I see a silver rim of a quarter! I see stars around the outer edge and I do a little happy dance! Crazy to me that basically the same keepers were found on consecutive hunts at the same spot. I'm definitely having fun with my new machine!
Also found what looks like the top to an old cane....about a foot down. 6 wheats and some copper memorials along with a couple zincolns. Good luck this weekend if you make it out folks!
