Cape Romain or Bull Island

Does anyone know if metal detecting is allowed on any of the Beaches around Cape Romain or Bull Island in SC ?

Hi SC Shooter,
Cape Romain is considered a wildlife refuge area and Bulls Islans the same.
With Bulls island I know they used to allow archery hunting by permit. Check with the SC DNR
about going out there. They both have DNR stations located on each. Being it State controlled land it is doubtfull they will allow you to MD there. I live here in SC also so that is what I know. I have not sought to MD there due to this reason. I have had many a run in with the State regarding diving issues so I try to stay clear of state controlled property.
SC State does not play well for the average Jo.
