CAPISTRANO MISSION

With all the cold, snow, ice, and such hard times all over the country, it looks like a good time to post a warm-weather
scene with flowers. When visiting the San Diego area one of the places we visited was the Mission San Juan Capistrano.
Here are some pics taken at the Mission. There are a couple showing their bare living quarters and the rest are of the grounds outside. We were staying at some condos overlooking the ocean a couple miles north of the Mission.

I hope they help to brighten your day.

Don't know if you had the chance but the Train Depot south of the mission is one of the best places to dine. And within a block is the oldest community (village) in California...predates the mission.

Glad you had an enjoyable visit to the southland.

And the wide open freeways...arn't they wonderful

Thank you, Sherman for posting the song. I was reminded of it while typing the heading. It's been a long long time since I've heard it. It had a great sound when listening t6o it.

Hello, Stefen, we did stop in that Train Depot, more than once. And we saw the oldest community, too. There were several places around there that we visited. Another interesting place was Dana Point which was right around the corner from our condos. Also, they had a car show on the beach across from the condos. Right by the pedestrian cross-over which was only about 500 feet from us.
That is a really nice area to visit. We got lots of good pics. there are some really scenic shorelines, too.

Stefen, I've been thinking and wondering about something. Since you live in that area; there is a place off that beach
that might be a great spot to detect. Just south of Dana Point there was a dried up stream bed with only a puddle here and there. It went East from the ocean and under the road that goes north from Capistrano. That stream bed was probably 60
to 80 feet wide. I did not have a detector at the time, but, thinking back on it, i think it would be a good place to check out, if you are interested.
