Beautiful morning today, but my ride to work was running late so decided to see if anything was stirring ... and this cardinal was out scouting around.
The tree he's in was bare by late August but it looks like it may be getting ready to put on leaves already. It's always the first to change and the first to bud out. I guess it's just on a different schedule than everyone else.
