Carved civil war bullet I know it's a confederate enfield but what was it carved into

Dug a carved enfield today it has a H carved on the top a dimple on the side and weird cut or carve on the side of the base and it has a 5 spoke wheel on the inner base can anyone please give any kind of information on to what it might of been used for? Thanks

yep nipple protecter to cover the musket nipple for a cap and ball type rifle

I don't know but I like it. Nice carved piece. My guess is it probably didn't have any purpose. Maybe just a widdled on bullet to pass some bordom? Nice find
