Hi, My grandfather brought these home from WWII
He was never in Africa and they appear to be Ebony wood carvings.
Does anyone have any info or ideas?

Well, I have an idea, but it depends on how big they are. The squared paper doesn't help without knowing the size of the squares!

They are about 6 inches top to bottom

Yes, that was my thought too, which is why I asked about the size,

The carved heads have flat backs, as would be the case for something intended to rest on those surfaces, About six inches overall wouldn't be an unreasonable size, and probably having three of them would mean a set of four, with one having gone AWOL.

They could have been imported from anywhere 'African' really as decorative pseudo-tribal items.
