Had this item for many years now. I think it was in my late father's stuff, but my memory is shot now. It appears to be a carved walrus tusk of an Eskimo. It measures a little over 2 1/4" and is very dense, weighing 81 grams. I don't think it's stone, since it has concentric lines showing underneath the figurine. Seems way too heavy to be resin. It has to be fairly old, since my parents would have no interest in something relating to Eskimos. As far as I know, none of my relatives ever visited Alaska. I did have an uncle who lived in Montana for a few years. Could have gone to Alaska, I suppose. Any opinions would be appreciated.
