I got this at a yard sale for a few bucks simply because it was unusual. I have no idea what it is for, the only thing I can think of is some sort of press for a lead seal. It stands about 7" tall. One side of the "mold" has a flower pattern, the other side of the "stamp" crudely reads: R WELCH ENGLAND. What in ze heck is this thing? :icon_scratch:

EDIT: Found a similar one described as a nutcracker. This doesn't seem right to me, although it would work for that purpose.

EDIT 2: Guess it is a nutcracker. Odd.
