007.webp012.webpI was looking at this last night and it seemed kind of interesting.I wonder if it was used to help with stability while flaking points into shape?or maybe for resharpening?It has a groove that the edge of a small point will fit into just right.Looking at the lower front of the groove on a angle I don't think it isn't broken, but I don't know?

I think it is just natural break in the quartz. Good eye tho:thumbsup:HH
 

Common material in your area but one that was hard to work. But they did use it often if that was all they had.
 

Its scrap or Debitage from making a point or tool. Probably something in the area though.
 

thanks guys!sometimes I look at something like that and my imagination makes me wonder.I agree with rock though,I don't think it is natural.
