Cellar hole site gives up amazing looking 1834 strike error Large Cent. My best yet!

This cellar hole site has produced 60+ buttons, and now 4 large cents, one of which is a beauty! Enjoy.

*** Added a fourth large cent (and a second video). The back is completely toast. (making up a new post for it is tideous at this rate)

Everything pictured here is from the same cellar hole site.

(HD up close video of the cleaned finds at end of each episode)

Gorgeous! I was wondering where you went... you went relic hunting! Fantastic finds. I'll watch the video tonight.

That is about as nice a dug LC as your going to get. SUPER coin dude,Nice. God Bless Chris

That must be some very kind soil you were digging in, because large cents arent supposed to come out looking that good. Very nice saves

Strangely enough, the soil it came from is just your average rocky mess that is all over New England. It came out of the ground looking crusty as they always do, and I honestly thought there was no hope for it. It had this thin yet strong resilient crust covering the entire coin. All I did was slowly remove it (for about 6 hours), and I was SHOCKED at what I was seeing, and amazed with the final result. This same strange occurrence did happen to me one other time with a beautiful looking 1865 Indian Head, whereas all the other Indians from that site looked like crusty bird poop. How this is possible, I do not know.... Is it a miracle? Act of god? ALIENS??

Yeah I have been on a break from detecting. (Crazy, I know....) This was like my second time out in like 2 months.

That is one sweet looking Large Cent, Elad! Flat buttons are cool to find too.

Suweet looking LC.
That thing must've been lost the year it was minted or darn close.
Something sure protected it from the elements.
Not sure what kind of rocks are in your area???
Years ago I found a super 1812 LC that was high conditioned when it was lost.
It was nestled in between slabs of limestone, so I figured that the limestone must have neutralized the ground acids from the oak leaves that fell all over the area.

Wow that baby came out beautiful!! Way to go!!

WTG.....Very Nice!!

Beautiful coin and finds!!!

Great looking LC. The pocket watch key is a neat find.
