Birdman and I went out to a home in Wayne County. It was my third or fourth visit out there and Birdman's first. We met the 76 year old owner, who had both grandfathers fight in the Civil War, and as always he gave us full reign to dig away. Birdman did the best with his musket balls, one of which was given to the homeowner. I am sure Birdman will be posting the balls and the other stuff he found on here. I found some clad and the items in the photograph. The Chalmers Motor Co radiator emblem was the hi-light in my MDing. Birdman stated he thought it was a beast plate badge at first and was ready to knock me up side the head if it was.... I guess CMC were only in business until 1923.

The item in the lower right says Mogul Federal. All I can find is that they do car parts. If someone can ID the box lock-like item of if the lead bullet CW or post CW I would appreciate it. And of course I got my first piece of harmonica reed and a little button/stud thingy. It was a good overcast, blustery and rainy day for all involved. Thanks Birdman for coming along.

Congrats on the emblem, cool link...you have a piece of automotive history there. Must have been fun cleaning that up and researching it.

@GR61- Thanks for the verification.
@HN- I do enjoy the research. Research by the self educated far surpasses that of the institutionally educated.
@Birdman- You are welcome Trent. For sure if I get the green light we will tear it up. I will bring The Basque with me too. Good times.

PB,
That Chalmer radiator emblem is way cool. I love seeing the oddball auto stuff. :thumbsup:
I dug a "Kissel Kar" radiator emblem a few years back. They were built in Wisconsin in the early 1900's too.
Congrats,
MM
