LoL,,, funny you should post a pull-tab... I was just thinking of starting a post to ask the forum, if anyone ever thought about starting a collection of them?, or if they already have?. I think I'm going to start one just as a conversation piece and put them into a frame...
Not sure how many different types there are, but here's a few I have started with...
Better luck next time out, & Happy hunting~

Hepcat...whatever you do... DON'T..clean that tab. Removing the patina could destroy its value.....
::)

Got my first MDer--ACE 250--for Father's Day a couple of weeks ago. Have done some serious digging for quite a few pull tabs, but have also pulled a '46 quarter out of my back yard (3rd day), and a '42 Merc out of my daughters' elementary school grounds (yesterday) and about $12 worth of clad--the A250 seems to pull out a buck of clad on any given outing. Also had it one day a the beach, but the saltwater really messes up signal clarity--makes doing anything annoyingly challenging.

Question for you 250 users...had notched out everything but quarters when I hit the signal over the hole that eventually yielded the Merc (about 6" down)...was this a coincidence or did something about that Merc make it register as a quarter instead? Once I had it out, ACE said it as a dime...nothing else in the hole.
