Detector(s) used
WHITE'S MXT (and man is she hot!)
I like it because it's got a lot of character! I found it about a foot from the early 1900's watch fob the bounty hunter found in a previous post. It was 7 inches deep, found about a week ago, and I just cleaned her today!
So, help me out button people, tell me all about it!

Nice, interesting button and I hope someone here and supply you with the info you seek.

However, I wouldn't put the BOUNTY HUNTER down. If the BH's coil would have gone over the exact same spot and the BH had been set to find such an item, it would have found it.

Not knocking the BH, I found a lot of good stuff with it! She's what got me hooked on detecting in the first place, but you can't deny the finds I have found in the same 20 square feet I had been over time and time again (with the BH I found a silver quarter (my first) and a silver war nickle (my first) so I searched the area about 5 times with the BH) and the fact that I had NEVER dug a dime past 4 inches with the BH (even when I buried one at six inches to test her) but I just dug a Barber at twice the depth with the MXT! http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,157786.new.html
I am just reiterating the the fact that the MXT is a little deeper/more sensitive than a Bounty Hunter 505...but I LOVED my Bounty Hunter!

P.S. I had the Disc turned all the way down, and the sensitivity as high as I could stand...

Just checkin'

That is one cool (BIG) button; I don't know nothin bout no buttons. :(

Hey, I don't know what it is about new detectors but they always seem to do better on the first hunt or two than the old ones!
BHs have been around for a long time and although I personally have never used one (except a Fisher F4) a lot of people seem to do okay by them. The MXT is a fine piece of equipment! Congrats!

Tom,
Give it a try in the "what is it" section, you may have better luck.
Hopefully one of out TN experts can figure it out.

Get used to it brother, that machine finds the good stuff. Nice job

Sounds like you're putting the MXT down, Silver Fox. In a head to head comparison there is always a winner and a loser.

Something to keep in mind, perhaps.

Nice find!
