Cherokee town oklahoma

Hello everyone!!! I have been searching the internet without any luck trying to find a map of cherokee town which was a town here in garvin county back in the 1800 and early 1900. I know the vicinity of where it used to be but not 100 percent sure anyway there is suppose to be a map made in 1871 of the town. I really think this would be an awesome place to metal detect and look for artifacts. If anyone could help i would be very greatfull, thanks for reading!!!

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but live in Garvin County. Did you ever find where Cherokee town was located? I know an area near Wynnewood that has alot of Indian artifacts. Could be what you're looking for.

DC, welcome to the site!! But you have replied to a post that is eight years old and neither other persons above have posted since 2013 so I doubt if they are still active on the forum. I went to school in Norman (OU) but haven't been out your way other than just passing through for fifty years.
