I have not found much of anything for a while, but after all the rain we recently had, I found this possible scraper. It was in a creek in Denton County, TX. I hope I am not being overly hopeful, but to me it does look like its worked. I'm posting here because it has been some time, and I am hopeful, and I am well aware that sometimes hope overpowers my judgement.

Here are some pictures of the side that looks broken. It does not appear to have broken after being flaked, however. The darkened, rough area could have been a corner that broke off. However, the pattern does not appear to be so. Of course, it is possible that it did break, and they reworked that side, at least up to the darken area.

Might be the end to a blade. Sometimes when in the process of making an artifact the stone would break with an inclusion they couldn’t see and then it would have been tossed. But being broken it’s just a guess. Hang onto it you never know you might find the rest of it. I’ve done it more than once even in a creek.
