Yesterday I scooted up to the Bronx to visit a hill that I would sled ride on after a snow storm in the late fifties and early sixties.
It is said that if you want to find a few spots where kids went years and years ago, then sit down with an old timer and pick his brain.
Many will be glad to reach back and tell of the old sandlots, and swimming holes. You probably won't find that information in any book.
With my 65th birthday coming in September, I am approaching the title of Old Timer. I guess I have to ask myself, "Where did I go when I was a kid??"
Yesterday's finds included a mess of clad coins, some brass, a toy gun, 11 wheat pennies, and a 1942S Mercury Dime. This silver coin brings my 2015 silver coin totals to 101.

Could be YOU lost them to begin with?:laughing7:

Great finds for sure.

Congrats on that Merc "Old-Timer"!! :occasion14: I bet there are more spots in your memories that are ripe for the picking. The dilemma I face is that I live 150 miles from where I grew up.

Nice recovery :icon_thumright:

You know,,, I thought about that
Now I don't want to claim poverty but we didn't have much
and a dime would buy you a package of Twinkies.
I could have lost it but I don't think so,, lol

Nice bunch of coins. Congrats on the Merc
