Made a trip over to Charlie's to pick up a cheese cake for a Father's Day "gift" for the hubby & son. Well, I did get to try out the new GPS but some of these country back roads do not show up on it...I didn't get lost. Had a good little chit chat with Charlie...he said to tell everyone "Hello". Charlie, if you're reading this I did drive through areas where it already rained, never actually drove in any. As I turned onto my road I saw where it had rained, went around the curve to my house and it was bone dry.

Drive up to son's to deliver his cheese cake, and he tells me I owe him $250. What? , he had taken some very old slides from the 60's (family) and I told him I would pay half to get the Navy slides into a DVD. Had no clue, he didn't either but when he went to pick them up his bill was $500 for 4 DVDs. That's the most he ever paid for a Father's Day gift for his dad, but getting the slides onto a DVD will be a lasting memento.

Well back on finally.No power from 2pm yesterday until 2am today.Straightline winds 70-80,debris/branches everywhere.After about 7-8"of rain yesterday we get a little more today,yipeee!
