"CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2

Re: "CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2

Well,I was walking the pup when the neighbors lab showed up for her hot dogs. She's come down almost every day since she was a pup, she's 12 now and has arthiritis bad.She never barks, just pushes the screen door open and lays on the porch.Of course Dixie went nuts, not barking just running circles, spilling her water dish.I gave the lab her hotdogs and she layed down and let that pup climb all over her without making any objection. When I told her that's all,she went over pushed the other door open and headed for the other neighbor's place. She has kind of a trotline she runs every day.So after she was out of sight,I let Dixie off the porch again and then I heard her bark and went to look and she had discovered a turtle under the car.She finally came away and only occasionally went back to check on it.She really never bothers any of the critters. The young rabbits will let us get within about 20ft and then Dixie will make a few fast steps toward them and they'll run but Dixie won't chase them she just sits and watches them run.Several deer came down in the yard and she started barking at them and the deer just looked at her like hey,we were here first. When they moved on over to the far side she quit barking and just watched them.I think Dixie just wants to play with them and they won't.I hope that turtle isn't one I named Hazel several yrs ago.She showed up and kept trying to get in the garage.I guess she finally got in when I had it open because one day I went out and when I opened it up there was 5or6 baby turtles running all over the garage floor.Lots of ladybugs for them.Never a dull moment around here. That lab, when she was a pup,if I didn't see her and give her the hotdogs, she would steal things and take them home and then I would have to go get them.Thankfully, she doesn't do that anymore.Well enough of this nonsense,it's too early to be this bored, right?

Re: "CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT 2008" Brand the calendar October10-12th for CTH2

Well WD I will be leaving from KC and heading for Memphis to visit my cousin Elvis. 8). Then we travel to the great State of Alabama to visit my adopted brother Charlie and Nana. After three fantastic days there we drive to Savannah for three days. There I will trade for a young Southern Peach. :violent1: Guess not! From there I or we will go to Raleigh NC to hunt with Modern Miner. Then we head to Statesville NC for two days to hunt for Gems. The last leg is Knoxville, Lexington, St. Louis, and KC. If we are still together I figure were good for another 40. :occasion15: :blob6: :blob7:

Burdie,it's just as quick,if not faster,to take I-70 to US65,south thru Sedalia and on down to the southside of Sprgfld and turn east on US60 towards Cabool.Take 60 to Cabool where it joins US63.Go down 63 through West Plains,Jonesboro,AR.63 runs into I-55 25mi north of Memphis. It's a much prettier drive and if you go thru Hardy,it's a picturesque little antique town. That's how I go to Ala.I'm 65mi south of I-70 and Memphis is only 51/2 hrs from me(330mi).It's good hwy all the way and much, much less traffic. But anyway you decide, drive safely and enjoy your trip.

Hardy Arkansas has one of the best military museums in the US, A great Civil war section of artifacts when I lived in Memphis I would go there on the weekends and pick with them at the town gazebo. Great bunch of town folks.....

Hey WD That is a great offer! BEF sounds like my kind of place. My secretary has that exact route planned. She is great at what she does. Every hour is accounted for WD in the actual travels. Would love for you to meet us at the Lambert they throw rolls at you and we can throw them back at them. Sorry no garters WD. Can't wait to see what else she has in store for us.

OK... now you guys think ol' Charlie don't read this stuff but I peruse this board on occasion & now I have proof that WD has gone through Alabamer without stopping at my house. Burdie, I have been busier than a carpenter bee trying to get a deck finished ( sit on-able) before you get here. I have learned that a square deck ain't so easily built around a round pool! I am looking forward to seeing you here real soon. And watch your step. There may not be a completely completed deck under your feet!

He or she was just wanting to be the 1st to try out the new deck!

And is that the what they mean by trying to fit a round peg in a square hole / square peg in a round hole! ;D

Charlie,is that a plastic bag I see way up in those trees? You'll be able to observe it and make small talk as you relax on that great looking deck you're building.
