I found this piece at an old farm site last week, I'm hoping someone can tell me what it was from and it's date. 
It measures exactly 3" across and is approximately 1" deep
I've looked at the edge under a loop to try to determine the metal, but can see no sign of what it might be.
It's thick and looks like it was pressed-fit into something... maybe a hub cap from a vintage tractor or a car?
