Resembles a Rook, sometimes called a castle. Always nice to find personal items like that. I've got a .58 carved into a chess piece that I was lucky enough to find in Resaca a few years ago.

Yes sir, A carved Minnie. Strange, it looks to be a game piece as suggested, but the base of the bullet almost looks as if the bullet were placed on the nipple and the hammer sent home like some of the soldiers would sometimes use a lead bullet for a nipple protector. Maybe this was done just to give this piece a unique look. Just a thought. Great looking piece. Nice find and Save of some CW History.
