Civil War bones uncovered at Virginia battlefield
The National Park Service announced on June 20 that archaeologists had found remains from up to 12 Civil War soldiers just north of Manassas, Va.
 

Im surprised more people don't find stuff like this.
 

If you google "civil war skeleton found" it will return more discoveries than you'd think.

Interesting fact: 19th century Americans (and Europeans) didn't view remains as sacred as we do today. Scavenging soldier's remains was an industry of its own as healthy teeth were in high demand by denture makers and human bone was ground up into meal and mixed with manure for fertilizer. Incredible but true.
