Metal Detecting
CWBB.webp It finally happened! I just unearthed it today with the equinox. This is a goal I have been striving for since I began metal detecting and i'm very pleased. I told myself one more hole and then I would turn in. Read 16-17 and only about 4in deep. Cleaned up it still needs some work. Please ask any questions , or any advice for preservation/cleaning. And help me think of a new goal for the coming year!

Did you find that in Colorado!?! Awesome find either way! Oh, and if you need help thinking of a goal for next year here's mine: Spanish silver, seated, and a KGIV or older British copper.

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

wonderful! a big congrats to you! would love to see that cleaned up!

Clean it up and show us both sides. Awesome find. Gary

Way to go, now find an eagle breastplate to go with it

Congrats on a great US plate! You will always find more relics with the "one more hole" approach.--JB

Congrats on an excellent find. Everyone's goals "bucket lists" are different. I'm sure you will think of something that you would really like to find next. Good luck.

Well done on reaching a goal you set for yourself. You proved it was not impossible. Goal for 2021: a treasure chest

Was visiting some friends in Maryland actually. A few years ago I found a confederate powderflask near where I found this!

I'm thinking about spanish silver as someone suggested. Of course my ultimate (unrealistic) goal would be viking artifacts from the atlantic coast, or russian artifacts on the pacific coast

Congratulations and Merry Christmas. It has traveled some miles for sure.

Congratulations!
