Civil War Button? New back Pictures on first post

My Grandmother gave me this button years ago. She was 91 at the time around 10 years ago .She said she was given this when she was a girl by a nurse that was in the Civil War . Is this a civil war button ? Navy Maybe ? What would be the value of this ? I am going to give it to my son and was wondering .Thanks Mark

I dont have a date for it but its a start. Apparently it is a lesser know backmark. Seems to be early to mid 1900's. :dontknow:

I couldn't find a date for The Stratton company either but agree by the way the backmark is stamped it's mid1900's The button was probably made by another company for Stratton That backmark looks similar to some 1900's Scovill backmarks I've seen so it's possible it was made by them. Somewhere there is a list of companies that Scovill, Waterbury,Horstmann and others made buttons for.
