🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Civil war button?

Civil war find with I. Appears to be lead and back is smooth. Perhaps some horse tack? Any help iding will be appreciated.

it was found on a known civil war location that was occupied by both sides in the 3 frederickburg battles. The property gave up a retaining ring from a gunpowder barrel.

It is not a United States military button of any age or type. I don’t think it is a rosette either. It looks like a bottle top, civil war period.
