My hunting buddy and i were following the diary of a Soldier. We traced his description to a valley bordered by two small streams. We thought we were in this valley so our next guess was to try the south side of a hill above the creek
. We asked the land owner and got permission. I found a round ball within 5 minutes and we pulled alot of relics from this area. It appears it was a smaller camp, maybe only used for overnight camps. Anyway I put all the stuff I have dug from it in one display.
John my hunting buddy has as many finds or more in his collection. We have been finding relics here for about two years now. It still produces each time we go.

Excellent idea and display. Maybe you could photocopy some pages of the diary onto parchment paper and put behind the items. What a excellent way you are displaying history!

Really nice. Keep hunting!
