Hey Guys. This is my latest finds from a Lil honey hole of a site that saw action as part of the Peninsular Campaign. What's funny, is the first 5 bullets that I dug were

each a different bullet; the first was a big boy .69 Belgian, than a Merrill, a Spencer, musketball, than a Swage Minie ( Also found another nice-sized lead Case shot that

even dwarfs those big .69s
)! :laughing7: :tongue3: I thought that was pretty funny being that that doesn't happen very often.

I've been on a "Eagle Button" drought over the past month digging mostly flat buttons and War of 1812 era buttons but I was happy with the day's finds and

hopefully I'll pick back up the "scent" of those Eagles. In the meantime, thank for looking and good luck to my friends who'll be going to DIV :occasion14: See Y'all

There! :icon_thumleft:

Group Shots:Include a Spencer, 2 .69s, 2 Swage (a 5 and a 6 point), Gardner (not pictured as its already in my bullet display), J Hook, Knapsack Hook, Kepi Buckle, Toe Tap, etc.

Looking good with those finds Josh!!! Finding different types and caliber bullets breaks the monotony. As you already know, the first 6 bullets I dug recently in Arkansas were all different too and I found a knapsack hook exactly like that one too. I wasn't in Virginia and just dreaming was I?-LOL. Good looking bullets/relics from a very historic place I hope to hunt someday. WTG my friend, Q.

YES indeed I do remember you diggin those 6 bullets and that's something that don't happen but maybe once every blue moon...pretty darn awesome! I did dig a Gardner too but it was after I had dug a few of the 3 Ringers and wasn't part of the 'streak' so to speak :laughing9: Thanks Quin and see you soon my friend! :icon_thumleft:  :occasion14:

Thanks DD. Yes this area does have alot of history but you have to know where to go and how to find it. I have several aquaintances around here who find next to nothing. Maybe you can come up and dig sometime in the summer  :icon_thumleft:

Around here, and Jeff can be testament to this while he was here and the places we went, there are CW bullets in just about every field and yard, however this particular spot I do believe was a site that hasn't been hit but maybe once or twice in the last 40 years as it belongs to an old farmer that my brother knows and I subsequently gained permission at.

Thats crazy!!!Thanks Josh!

nice finds. :icon_thumleft: I wish we could find them like that here in the Charlottesville area. The 2 bullets on the top right and left have 6 or so lines inside of the base of them . are they a certain type of 3 ringer? I found one like those 2 weeks ago in the Fredericksburg area
