Civil war finds

[vadigger89]

Got out today with my brother today, first time we have hunted together in awhile. We both had a good time he found one bullet and a nice eagle button. My finds were four three ringers two dropped and two fired. Eleven three ring ringtails three were in one hole along with a percusssion cap which was pretty cool. The rivet I found is the thickest sturdiest rivet I have found. A flat button and the front of a staff officers button.

Good day yall ,I love those "ringtail' Sharps .

Very nice! The only CW bullet I ever found was one my dad snuck in the hole when I wasn't looking. Boy, he sure had me going for 2 seconds or so until I saw him start busting out laughing! He got me pretty good. Very nice saves! Congrats

[JWoodruff]

Great! This may sound silly but I enjoy digging up bullet just as much as a button even the buckshot! HH!!!

[vadigger89]

Not silly. I am the same way I really enjoy digging bullets, its a rush seeing a bullet in the hole or in the plug that hasnt seen the light of day for over 150 years.

Oh yea, love your finds and I really like those ringtails. Hard to find these days!

[ronr]

Nice bunch of ringtails. I think your rivet is a belt stud.

That would make sense I actually found it a couple inches from where I dug the CS buckle. I thought it had something to do with it.

Nice finds vadigger89!

[BuckleBoy]

Yes, the rivet is a belt stud, not a pack rivet. The rivets from the sword belt rigs were one piece, cast. Great grouping of Sharps there!

Cheers,

Buck
