Nice saves there .. That heart thing is interesting. Could it be a latch of some sort off of a trunk?

Whatsit sort of looks like a brass hinge and the two pieces of wood are legs.

The disc part is flush with wood on one side and it’s recessed on other side.

Nice folding ruler hinge. I've found one from the same time period...
