It was a beautiful (albeit a bit hot still) day, so I decided to go to my permission spot and brave the weeds. I found a little hollow that was relatively clear, and gave it a good going over. First find was the .46 Sharps Multi-Ring!!! I've never found one before, and to my knowledge nobody else has on this specific battlefield. Right next to it was a fired and mangled 3-Ringer and also a .69 round ball. The finds started stacking up as the day progressed, with multiple buckshot, more fired 3-Ringers, another .69 ball, and then shell fragments! I believe that the half-circle piece is part of an iron sabot, but if I am wrong someone please correct me!

Also, does anyone know what the buckle is from? I was thinking probably horse tack. Thanks for looking, and happy hunting y'all!

Nice bullet! I have dug a couple of the .58 cal. multi ring (Gomez & Mills). Would love to add one of those to my collection.

That's a great hunt!!! Love the Sharps. I've never found one like that, it's very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys! I'm loving all the lead and iron I'm pulling, but I have yet to find any (military) buttons. And of course, the belt and cartridge box plates also continue to elude me. I always tell myself "Today's my day", and one day I hope to be right :) .

Very nice finds. I believe that what you are referring to as a buckle is iron ring with a chain link connected to it-but I'm not sure.
