Civil War/Post Tent Stakes??????

Found these 2 pieces at a Veterans Administration Park that maybe had GAR Reunions and would have been around as a hospital during the civil war. What exactly are these? Thought the smaller one could be a stake that had been broken off but not sure about the larger one. It appears to be threaded or curled on the bottom half.

Yep, gotta agree with the guys Those things are a killer to put up, has to be perfectly aligned or your gate will be crooked.
