✅ SOLVED Civil War Relic? Calhoun Ga Skirmish...Need help identifying

Quarter is for size reference. This is made of Solid Brass, has green patina and weighs a bit heavy. The two halves were dug 3 feet apart each 3 inches in the ground, when placed together looks like a fit. What in the world is this?

I thought the same thing about farm implement, but this is made of brass. That raises the question.

Hard to say, really, but lightening rods and weathervanes became quite popular in the mid 19th century, but the designs of many are still being used in today's market.

I think you was actually known as the Sun and Moon, as the center hole had a moon in it.
