I met up with the Good ole boys Saturday high atop "Rocky Top" That's Tennessee for those who were wondering
Guy Lambert, and Randy Schuh of TN. accompanied me on yet another great gathering. Sometimes we don't find too much, but our friendship out weighs the finds, and we have some fun hunts together. I fired up the Minelab GPX with the 15x12 Commander coil as a test to see what we were possibly missing with our other machines we have used there in the past. Once again, I think the GPX made believers out of us. Unlike the mineralized Northern Va. soil we battle, this soil in the forest is mostly neutral. The GPX got some crazy depth and handled better than expected with moderate trash targets mixed in. I really like the fashioned poker chip and 2 Grape shots. Thanks again to my Rocky Top buddies for having me out.
