Civil War Site - Bullett ??

Found two pieces of lead, civil war site, but not sure civil war though. One looks' like the bottom ring of a bullet?? Not to confuse anyone, they were not found together and probably 300 feet apart. Ideas on how to determine??

Your last picture looks like melted lead which is a good indicator of a possible CW camp. I would hit the area hard and see what you come up with.

Item #1 may be the cap from a turn-of-the 20th C squeeze tube. Like toothpaste or shave cream... Not a bullet.
