Civil War Token & not much else

No date on this one but it is a civil war token. Hunted a site that has done well for me this year and I think I have it cleaned out pretty good. Also found an interesting flat button, a whatsit and some junk. I think I will leave this site alone for the rest of the year and move off to greener pastures.

Love the Token

After further review, I believe the other item pictured is the back of a very old spoon. I believe I seen a similar design posted recently by another t-netter.

Great CW find, I think I would go back and hit this site again. I bet there are other great finds just waiting for your slowed down coil. Check those iffy signals, if they are deep, dig them. You might be very surprised at what your dig up.

Nice one. Never seen a patriotic like that. (No date and no head on one side) I like it! :)

Re: Civil War Token & not much else

That is a nice token and the first I've seen. There is always something
left to find at a site you think might be worked out.

Very nice!

Re: Civil War Token & not much else

I tried to e-mail you a reply to your questions about the cz20 but I couldn't get it to go through. I always run my descrimination on zero and the sen. as high as it will go without giving any false signals. Keep the coil as flat as pissible and hunt pretty slow. In salt water there can be a low tone (usually iron) around most targets no matter what the conductivity. If you descriminate out iron you will miss a lot of deep signals that give you a mixed low-mid high. After you hunt this way for a while , you will learn the obvious iron signals from the good iron signals. I hope this helps you and you find some goodies down deep.
