Civil War Token?

Saw this at a friend's shop and would like to know if anyone has any info on the token itself (history or otherwise). Top cannon has "Union 61" printed on it while the bottom cannon just has the number "76" on it. No writing on the other side (I assume cannon-side is the obverse...? Dunno).

If anyone has a ballpark idea on value, that would be great too.

It is indeed the real McCoy and to top it off he just gave it to me because of the interest I showed in it.
