I found this when we were digging our pool. It was probably 5 to 6 feet down. I picked it up because it looked so much like a fossilized clam or what I would think a fossilized clam looked like. What do you think?

It's possible what you have is the solidified sediment from inside two halves of a bivalve like a clam not the clam itself.
