cleaning 10k and diamond ring ?

no money to spend on any thing fancy found this ring metal detecting and would like to clean it up thank you in advance.

Ammonia. To clean Gold just dip it in Ammonia. It cleans the Stone also. A cereal bowl with enough ammonia to cover the item and 10 min. soaking should do it. Ammonia will not harm the item even if left for several days, just be careful not to breath the vapor. Thats not fun at all. This is also the BEST way to clean Buttons with Gilt remaining. Not good for CW Lead or wheat pennys.
