My town Brookings, The Chetco river.
We stayed in Brookings one night on a trip down the coast highway. Pretty place. I remember eating at a restaurant at a large marina & walking at sunset enjoying the peaceful scenery.

I've seen pics of water tight boats they have that can do a complete roll and pop up like a cork. With the men on the flying bridge I don't thinkthe boat in these pics is one of them.

A lot of people bad mouth the Coast Guard. I used to have a charter fishing business in Michigan. They are a BRANCH of US Service people that have my DEEPEST REGARDS !!!! I have seen them go on rescues when it looked dangerous for a submarine to go out. They risk there and equjipment when someone is in DANGER>< to them i say THANK YOU PEOPLE for all that you do . I STRONGLY SUPPORT our coast guard and give them thanks.
