Coil conversions

Anyone ever try to convert a 5 pin Tesoro coil over to a 4 pin? Been looking for a 5.75" concentric coil but we all know how that's working out for me. So, I was thinking, could you switch the connector to a 4 pin and make it work just as well. Anyone tried?

There’s more going on with the coils than just PIN numbers. Will not work.
