What does you dealer say?

He says "If you find out let me know"

Not the sharpest pencil in the pocket. He sells for a tax write off but seems to be able to get stuff when I want/need it.

from what ive read yes

That is what I'm thinking also. I actually wound up with 2 of them. My brother is thinking about acquiring a Minelab and I told him he could should look for an older explorer and I'd sell him the coil. That way he can save some bucks.

What Jeff said.

Minelab, on the 11" DD coil is what they call the "PRO" coil first started with the late models of the Explorer SE's, replacing the Trim-line11"coil & is now on the E-Tracs. It should work on the Explorer II's and the XS's also! All the model units are tuned to the same internal base frequency! :icon_study:

Most machines come with a "standard" coil. The detector company that made your machine may offer several different size coils for that model.
You have to be carefull to buy or use a coil that this compatible with your brand and model.
With Minelab, several models use coils that look the same and have the same connector for the control box but are only compatible with one specific model. This is also true on several other brands and there models.

There are also some after market companies that may make several different coils for your machine.

Will your dealer give you a little "sump'n, sump'n" for your detective work? ;D
