Wanting to get rid of them and looking for a buyer.... Looking to sell them individually or as a set...

Here they are

I am not a big fan of Ebay or craigslist but they are options. If I were going to try to get the most $ for them I would talk to a local auctioneer and find out where the next big coin auction is going to be. Preferably in a larger city. If nothing else they may be able to give you an estimate of thier value so you would know what to start at for an asking price. You can always look them up on Ebay and see what they have sold for recently. Good luck, I hope this helps.

What are the numbers to the right?

i believe they are serial numbers for the coins because they were all purxhased from the littleton coin company many

Since you have the coin names and conditions, you could probably just take the list to a book store (Border's, Barnes & Noble, etc.) and look up the values in the Red Book, Coin Values magazine, etc. Just an idea.

Yes I have most of the values from that site now just trying to figure out where to get rid of them

KY, what do you want for them? PM me

i will have to ask my mom what she wants for them and get back with u .. do u have an offer for the set? I dont know how much she will want but will probably be high

No actually was pretty reasonable I think at 2000... the coins vary from a few dollars to 200 dollars so adding them all up they are more than what she was asking

Pardon my ignorance, kytrader, but which coin in the list is valued at $200. Keep in mind that Littleton is not a coin grading service. Unless the coin is graded and slabbed, be careful not to overvalue/overgrade your coins. The most valuable is the Jackie Robinson comm. at $100. The 1887 Morgan is valued at $40 in MS-60. If you want to fetch MS-65 or better money, then you would have to prove the coin is worth that by having it graded and slabbed. Your American Eagles are valued at $20/each at most. Good luck in your quest for finding a buyer.

i just looked up the serials on the littleton site for the items .. they are graded and he just added up the value of what they were purchased for

I didnt use the site as a graded service i looked some of them up and they came graded and authenticated already.. all the information is on the plastic packaging on each one.

Just to be fair though, the price that your relative bought these for at Littleton and the value of them today are likely pretty different.

They may have been purchased from Littleton for so many dollars, but more than likely the resale worth is lower.

Again, Littleton is not a grading service. They are a dealer. Unless it is certified and slabbed by a third party grading service (NGC, PCGS, ANAACS), then any stated grades are worthless. An uncirculated coin can grade from MS-60 (lowest mint state) up to MS-70 (perfect coin). Obviously, the values are very different for the various grades. Again, good luck finding a buyer.

I agree with diver, Littleton has been known to overgrade and sell their coins to unsuspecting customers. I have collected for quite a while and below is what you might can expect from some of your coins (prices to the right of Littleton numbers), which will show you why 2000 is about 10X too high.

The 1887 Morgan is most likely over-graded because after all, it is Littleton. Even if it isn't it is worth about $18.00 according to grey sheet. Which is the #1 coin price guide. It's what the dealers use. The Peace dollar is worth the same also. I don't know who said they were worth about $40 each. That's just crazy. Anyway $2,000 is crazy for that. Its mostly Commemoratives and common dates...
