Coin dredge questions.

Has anyone here tried using a coin dredge in the surf or at any lakes at new or old beachs? Any problems with any of the over regulating of this aspect of TH'ng? anyone?

Not sure why you would want a coin dredge? I would want a gold dredge, and the coins surely would be there...

Actually no. Keene was approached and tested their recovery and found it lacking. They completely changed the riffle box and added a catch-all cage at the end. They use a 3" dredge for their base.

I can personally attest to the fact that rings WILL roll right on out the end of a standard gold dredge sluice.

Back in the late 70s, we ran a dredge on a local swimming hole / lake where the diving platform used to be ... Countless hundreds of silver coins, rings, necklaces, etc, all came up the pipe, down the sluice, and right into our catch all bag. Without the catchall, or the bag, course, it would just roll off the sluice. That was joy lake and lake spivey in the GA area.
