Hello all,

Very casual coin collector looking to start filling out some of the basic series with coin roll hunting just to see what I can find. Anyone have any advice on good coin holders? Looking for something secure when stored but easy to place and remove, no PVC, shows both sides of the coin.

I use folders but you can't see the reverse. If that is important to you use Dansco albums. They are nice.

Dansco are very nice for a COLLECTION, however, also very expensive when compared to the old style blue folders.

Air-tite coin holders? I keep some of my coins in them

We use archive bcw brand 2x2 slide holder sheets with fold and staple type mylar 2x2
All dimes and pennies in penny size,, quarters and nickles in quarter size.
Kids get whitman folders but you cannot see backs.

I like Dansco and Intercept Shield albums. These CAN be picked up cheaply sometimes (with the exception of the 7070 Dansco Type Set album**, runs $40+ on eBay); check with a local coin shop to see some of their selection on these: I am actually in the process of upgrading my folders to nicer albums.

My LCS sells used Dansco albums for $5-10 each (**and I lucked out and got a used 7070 Type album for $10 from there once too...)
