Coin of some kind?

Hey guys,

So i found another holed coin in the field that i found the holed 1737 1/2 Real. This one is about the same size as the real but its copper. Very little detail. It kinda looks like a 1600s netherland coin but im not totally shure and cant really find anything that looks like it. Check it out and thanks for the info in advanced....i know you guys have all the knowledge!

It may be a coin but I am thinking that it could be a Civil War Dog Tag!

Thanks Frank! This was found very close to a 1737 spanish half real in a friends farm field that was also holed. Due to them being so close and both holed i kind of thought it might be something from that time period. Ill look into the dog tags and see if it matches anything. I do know its small like a dime, and thinner then a dime as well.

I was hoping someone would chime in that could identify your' mystery item but hopefully they will!! If the item is that small, then it is definitely not a Civil War Dog Tag. I should have paid more attention to the size in reference to your' fingers, sorry!

Can you perhaps get a clearer photo or try to read some of the lettering? There is clearly CHAR but to the image quality I can't really make anything out. Reading what's left will be instrumental in identifying it - whatever it is.
