Here is my first attempt at making a double sided coin ring where the writing is both inside and outside of the ring. This one is made from a Canadian large cent. I'm going to keep practicing on large cents (I have over 200 of them) before I move on to silver coins.

I like it! Is it conical though? Or is that an optical illusion?

Looks good To me :icon_thumleft:

Not as conical as it looks in the pic. I was using a rubber hammer instead of a plastic one and probably could have shaped it a bit better. I understand the concept but still experimenting. The raised edge with the ridges is a little thicker so a little more difficult to form. I also should have heated it first to make the hammering easier. Silver coins should look at lot better.

Is it Winter already in S ON? :laughing7: You need a site I think! ;D

Cleaned out the local beaches, now just waiting for the fields to be turned over and the beans taken off. Then it's 1812 relics here we come.

great job looks way good for your first attempt
