Relic Hunting
Was out with my 800 and 6" coil hunting the trashy park near my home. Was using park2 and testing my ability using the 800 to find good targets among the trash.

I dug what I thought was a metal button. But cleaning out the dirt found it was a penny. In the same hole there was another target, which was a bullet. When I matched up the 9 mm bullet with the hole in the penny it fit. Did not go through it, but was a tight fit.

I figure it was a frustrated detectorist after digging 24 pennies and shot the 25th penny with his 9 mm pistol.

Ya caught me lol

Great Finds...!
Especially with that bullet...!
Funny you mention that, as
I found a Jefferson nickel that had been gold-gilded,
and struck with likely, a .45cal. bullet.
See the concave side..., but the reverse side, you
can easily see the Monticello...!

I have a buffalo nickel that had a 45 cal. head stuck in it - found in water at an old military beach
also my very first large cent I found was shot with a musketball

Cool find, congrats! :occasion14:
