Found this today where the city dumps snow from the streets. It is the same size as a dime & appears to be made of aluminium.

It's a 10 Won Korean coin. Strange to find it there.

It's not too strange to find it here... the Americans have had a massive pressence in South Korea since the war.

When you consider the number of GIs that have rotated through there (as I did in '91 - '92) then you realize how tons of Korean coins can end up anyplace!

I have a handfull here in the house still... someplace.

I just wonder about the provinence of the coin. Less than a year old.
