I have a Fuzion Extreme XT-200 Digital Scale that I got off of eBay and it has worked great for over ten years and is accurate enough for me. They are cheap and they have better models such as the XT-1000. Please understand that most often most coins will not weigh exactly as what is printed. They might weigh a little under due to thinner than normal Planchet Stock or due to wear and/or corrosion that ate some of the metal away or they may weigh a little over due to thicker than normal Planchet Stock. The key to identifying if genuine, is if the coin does not weigh too much above or too much below what they are supposed to weigh and determining if the condition of the coin has any bearing to why it weighs off.

Suggest that whatever scale you get, try to get one that reads into the hundredths of a gram, i.e. 2.45 grams, not one that would show as 2.5 grams. I have a small pocket scale, but only goes to tenth of a gram.
